At point of slaughter our DataStock staff manually scan and take a photo of all cattle. CCTV camera footage is still taken at all facilities in the event that the image quality of the photo is not high enough or there are animal welfare incidents.
Animal welfare compliance is a combination of having suitable facilities, adequately trained staff, and continual monitoring. DataStock staff ensure compliance with animal welfare requirements and report maleficence. CCTV footage can be used at all other times to monitor for animal welfare incidents.
DataStock staff are capable of delivering training to staff in facilities on behalf of exporters when there are gaps in performance or at the instruction of the regulator. This training or immediate corrections are all recorded into the platform.
DataStock staff can solve minor non-compliance issues on the spot without the need for exporter engagement. Major non-compliances are resolved expediently and with high success with the exporter. All corrective actions are now recorded to the facility.
DataStock is committed to producing dashboards and reports that are useful for the client. A key focus of the system is frictionless compliance and this involves the ability to remotely and easily observe non-compliances, training events, number of cattle slaughtered that night, and numbers of cattle in each location.
The custom build reporting function allows clients to filter information to develop reports that they can immediately use to close out an LNC or for an audit purpose.
Data is owned by the client and the datasets have restrictions that limit who can access and edit different elements of the data. There is no ability for DataStock staff to cover up slaughter records without it being logged as an activity. Exporter staff have access to use all their own data but have no ability to modify data.
